Maryland Farms & Farmers
The following organizations have resources and information to help with your local Farm to School program.
Harding Farm
Breezy Willow Farm
We are a small specialty farm located in West Friendship,Md. We produce organically grown vegetables, berries, flowers and herbs. We have delicious raw honey and jams made from fresh local fruit. We make goat and sheep's milk products including soaps, lotions, etc. using 100% olive oil, shea butter and herbal infusions for extra skin care benefits. Products are sold in our C.S.A, web site and retail businesses. Our C.S.A also offers working shares. We grow a wide variety of heirloom veggies for taste and nutrition, not for long distance hauling. Our free range eggs are produced by heritage breed chickens and lay eggs of many colors. We are focus on educating the kids on making healthier eating choices and provide recipes for all the veggies. We also provide handouts for the children and make learning about agriculture fun. We welcome children to visit and pet the rabbits, feed the chickens and learn about the projects we use the wool from the sheep for. NEW we have added locally raised grass fed beef, pork and lamb. Our heritage free range chickens provide the most delicious eggs while entertaining us with a rainbow of colors. We also raise Angora rabbits, sheep and free range chickens. We combine angora along with other fibers such as merino wool, alpaca, and silk for our felted soaps and other fiber creations. Check them out on the web.
