Future Harvest - Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture's 10th Annual Conference
"Connect Locally: Food, Farms, and Community" will be held on January 16th and 17th, 2009 at the NEW Frederick Holiday Inn and Conference Center in Frederick, MD. This event will feature Nina Planck, farmer's market expert and author of Real Food, as the conference keynote speaker. Breakout sessions will cover farm-to-school and hospital programs, agri-tourism, soil fertility, the nuts and bolts of sustainable agriculture, specialty crops, cultivating new farmers through mentorships, grass based systems, profitable grain production, market gardening, and more.
