The following organizations have resources and information to help with your local Farm to School program.
Kentucky Department of Agriculture

Cooperative Extension Service, University of Kentucky College of Agriculture
The Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is the most comprehensive outreach and engagement program at the University of Kentucky. Our mission, simply stated, is to make a difference in the lives of Kentucky citizens through research-based education. Jointly with our other land grant partner, Kentucky State University, we take the University to the people in their local communities, addressing issues of importance of all Kentuckians.

Kentucky Department of Education
The Kentucky Department of Education is a service agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The department provides resources and guidance to Kentucky's public schools and districts as they implement the state's K-12 education requirements. The department also serves as the state liaison for federal education requirements and funding opportunities.

Community Farm Alliance
Community Farm Alliance is a grassroots membership organization with over 2,000 members in 75 counties in Kentucky. From creating new Farmers' Markets in underserved urban communities, to developing Farm-to-Cafeteria programs that link local farmers with institutional buyers, to promoting family farm-friendly policies in the halls of the State Capitol, CFA provides a grassroots voice for Kentucky's citizens–farmer and non-farmer, urban and rural alike–on farm, food, and economic issues.

Sustainable Communities Network
Sustainable Communities Network is dedicated to contributing to the development of the theory and practice of sustainable living. SCN seeks to provide the ideas, programs and tools that inspire community members to bring about systemic changes in all of our institutions that are necessary to create sustainable cities. In the summer of 2009, Miranda Hileman, a recent graduate of Berea College in Kentucky, was awarded one of 10 prestigious Compton Mentor Fellowship awards which allows her to implement a self-directed project and contribute her talents and energy to real-world situations. Her fellowship proposal entitled, "Grow Lexington! Nurturing Young Minds on Common Ground for a Greener Tomorrow," focuses on providing food security for low-income residents of Lexington,KY. She will lend both hands in enhancing the existing community gardens, and supporting the development of school gardens and educational programs in and around the city. Jim Embry of Sustainable Communities Network and Central KY Council for Peace and Justice will serve as her mentor and will provide guidance, encouragement and impetus for continued learning and service.
