The following organizations have resources and information to help with your local Farm to School program.

Massachusetts Farm to School Project
Mass. Farm to School Project works offers matchmaking assistance for farmers and food service directors. We assist farmers in looking for appropriate school customers.

Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture
For online listing of farms and local food producers in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties, please visit www.buylocalfood.org. CISA links farmers and communities to strengthen agriculture and enhance the economy, rural character, environmental quality, and social well-being of western Massachusetts. Through our Local Hero program, we work with colleges, hospitals, workplaces and schools to encourage local purchasing and with farmers to expand their markets. We provide referrals and resources to parents, schools, staff, and others interested in expanding farm to school work in western Massachusetts.

Berkshire Grown
Farmer support organization that is getting involved with farm to school through arranging to sell to local private schools.

Farmers
There are 96 farmers’ markets in Massachusetts. Roughly half of the markets are part of the Federation of Massachusetts’s Farmers’ Markets, a collaborative non-profit that works closely with agencies such as the UMASS Cooperative Extension and the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture.
