-Bemidji Area Schools

Students planted a school garden at Solway Elementary School last spring. We have utilized the fresh produce from the garden in our summer food service program served at the Bemidji Middle School. We continue to harvest beans (which are being frozen, and will have potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash and watermelon as the summer progresses. All of this produce will be served in the meal program at Solway Elementary as well as the other schools in the district. We are partnering with local farms to secure other produce to serve in our lunch program throughout the school year.
