Fundraise for Farm to School

Share your passion, support the movement

With the Fundraise for Farm to School program, you can help us grow farm to school in the communities of greatest need. It’s easy: you share your passion for farm to school with friends, colleagues, community and social group members, neighbors and family, and you invite them to chip in to make sure that kids, farmers and communities can experience the triple win of farm to school! All money raised benefits the Seed Change Venture Fund, which powers NFSN’s ambitious growth plans for farm to school.

Remember, if many do a little, it adds up to a lot. Imagine it this way:

  • You decide to donate your birthday, so you ask friends for donations to NFSN in instead of presents, cake or flowers.
  • 10 people you know give $10 each for your donated birthday. That adds up to $100.
  • 99 other NFSN supporters do the same thing. That adds up to $10,000 for farm to school.
  • $10,000 helps NFSN build capacity, advocate and connect key stakeholders in the farm to school movement so that thousands more kids can have healthy, local meals at school. It also benefits local farmers’ economic opportunities and strengthens local economies.

Get started in 5 steps

Step 1: Decide that you’re committed to ensuring all children have access to healthy, local food, supporting family farmers and strengthening local economies. Farm to school does all three, and you have a role to play in helping grow the movement.

Step 2: Choose what you’ll do for farm to school. See below for ideas and resources.

Step 3: If fundraising online, personalize your campaign page by adding a story and picture to your page.

Step 4: Share with everyone you know and ask them to chip in $10 or more.

Step 5: Collect donations to help more kids, farmers and communities benefit from farm to school!
