Our Approach to Scholarships

For the 10th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference, we’re refining our scholarship process to reflect both the spirit of the movement and the realities of the moment. This year, we will begin with intentional outreach and application review practices that help us build a well-rounded applicant pool—across regions, roles, experiences, and perspectives. Once that balance is reached, recipients will be selected through a lottery process.

This ensures fairness while allowing for broad participation from those whose work and lived experience are vital to the future of just, community-centered food systems. We continue to prioritize support for farmers, food service professionals, youth, and leaders closest to the ground.
