Wyoming Partners:
Season Extension, school gardens, hydroponic growing and hoop houses are among the top activities in Wyoming's Farm to School program! The legislature recently passed a bill aiding schools in processing local beef. With local meats and school gardens, our schools and child care facilities are seeing more and more fresh, local foods!
We are fortunate to be partners with several agencies and organizations. In order to keep from recreating the wheel or duplicating efforts, the WY Farm to Plate Task Force is our vehicle for supporting and conducting complimentary activities.
Despite our short growing season and inclement weather, Wyoming is enjoying great success with farm to school.
