Tell Congress: Stop OMB's Disruptive Federal Funding Rule
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has proposed a rule (OMB-2026-0034) that would let federal agencies, including USDA, withhold, suspend, or terminate grants and contracts without notice or cause, and change terms mid-performance. This threatens funding for nonprofits, universities, Tribes, state agencies, and farmers and ranchers nationwide.
Congress has temporarily delayed the rule until December 11, but a lasting solution requires ongoing pressure. Share your concerns with your legislators now.
Protect Farm to Early Care in Head Start - Comment by Oct 6
The U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services (HHS) has proposed a new rule titled "Reducing Federal Burden for Head Start Programs," that would reduce resources and weaken standards in Head Start programs. While it claims to prioritize "whole, nutrient-dense foods," many of its provisions actually undermine that goal — threatening Head Start programs' ability to source local food and run farm to early care and education (ECE) activities for some of our most vulnerable children.

Urge Your Senators: Pass a Farm Bill That Works for Our Food Future
The Senate returns for its final three weeks of scheduled session before Election Day. Senate Ag Chairman John Boozman indicated he would revisit the Farm Bill this month after a failed Committee vote in August. Congress will need to pass reauthorization or extend the current legislation before the September 30 deadline.
There is still time to reach out to your Senators and urge them to support a Farm Bill that actually addresses our country’s food future.
